Five years ago, our founder was spending his weekends DJing at corporate events and weddings…
It was while lugging his records, CDs and decks from gig to gig that he recognised the need for a compact solution for DJs. The digital era was approaching and many DJs were already switching from vinyl to playing from CDs and mp3 files on laptops.
“I’d seen people using a laptop to DJ with but they can easily over-heat. While working at Comet, I started to develop a product that would be able to carry a massive selection of songs in a portable unit and would be aimed directly at the international mobile DJ.” Sean then went on to create Computer DJ Ltd and opened a factory in Hull with three employees. In 2007, Valeway Technology was created to house the growing portfolio of other successful brands, such as PCDJ and Q-THIS. The company now employs a team of nine people.
Jonpaul Wright was recently appointed as Managing Director, following his great work as Operations Director over the past three years. A new board of Directors is now in place to take the company forward.
Paul Moss is heading up Customer Service, including all E-commerce initiatives and Adam Richmond-Gordon is spearheading R&D. The Management team all agree they have an exciting time ahead.
